A devastating flash flood has swept through Nepal’s Rasuwa district and surged downstream. Hundreds of people have reportedly lost their lives, while hundreds more remain out of contact including at least 25 Canadians.
Dozens of bridges and kilometres of roads have been damaged, cutting off communities and leaving thousands of families in need of urgent support.
Oxfam is working with local partners and authorities to assess urgent needs and mobilize emergency supplies, including temporary shelter, clean water, sanitation and hygiene materials, emergency food and essential household items.
