Venezuela Earthquake Emergency

Two major earthquakes have struck Venezuela, compounding an already severe humanitarian crisis.

Hundreds of deaths and injuries have already been reported, and numbers are expected to rise. The search for survivors continues amidst severe infrastructure damage and disruption to basic services.

As of early 2026, an estimated 7.9 million people in Venezuela were already in need of humanitarian assistance. The current situation will further worsen the living conditions of thousands of people.

Oxfam is activating solidarity mechanisms to support the humanitarian response, in coordination with local partners and in accordance with our operational capacities.
